Come join us for a fun and functional “Rope Basket” class!
You will learn how to take ordinary clothesline rope and turn it into a functional basket, bowl, hot plate, hat, etc.

To make the large basket shown in the sample on the left, you will need:

  • 15+ yards 100% cotton roping at least 1/2” in girth and 3 twists. You can also use cotton roping or cotton piping that is at least ¼” in girth as shown in the small basket w/handles and the hot pad. Unless you have a heavy duty machine, we recommend using the ¼” girth rope/piping for your first attempt.
  • Machine in good working order and one that has the “ZIG ZAG” stitch option.
  • White or Ecru Thread (or a contrast color!)
  • 2” wide different colored scraps of fabric (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Seam Ripper
  • Clips or Pins
