Slow Stitch Vessel Class
Wed, May 6 11:00am – 2:00pm
Cost: $25
Instructor: Sharry Williams

Whether you’re an experienced sewer, or a beginner to slow-stitching by hand, Sharry can guide you through how to design and make handmade vessels of different shapes and sizes. Even people accustomed to following a pattern with directions often find slow-stitching relaxing—no stitch is wrong, changes can be made along the way, and it can feel freeing to create as you go choosing different colors, prints, and adornments without needing to follow predetermined steps.
This informal workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to work on their own projects with guidance from Sharry. She will provide examples and touch on the following topics during class:
- How to select and layout fabrics
- Fitting parts together to form different types of vessels
- Ideas for different stitches that work well for seams, trim, embellishments and designs.
