Applique Pansy Class Tuesday, May 31 & Wednesday, June 1 10am – 3pm Cost: $199 (includes embroidery files and .svg files on USB stick, instructional handout, lunch, snacks & drinks) Instructor: Ramona Bateman
This is a 2 part workshop. Day 1 will be cutting on your Brother Scan N Cut and Day 2 will be appliquing on your embroidery machine!
This project can be as large or small as you would like so be thinking about how many blocks you will want to make and if you will be doing the modern version or the vintage style! This design set is very versatile and would make a great table runner, dresser scarf, bed runner or even a wall hanging if you want to try a smaller version. Keep this in mind as you are gathering your fabrics!
The pansy is approximately 4.75 inches tall by 4.8 inches wide. Your background block needs to be a minimum of 6 inches square – the blocks on both of my projects are 10 inches square. These quilts are on display at the store. Will you choose a horizontal block or set it on point?!! I can’t wait to help you plan your garden of pansies!
Please call to reserve your seat as this event fills quickly and space is limited. 603-373-0151

Intro to EQ8 Software Tuesday, June 21 10:30am – 12:30pm Cost: $20 Instructor: Bryce Caldwell
Who should take this course? Students with little or no experience using EQ8, or wishing to brush up on their skills. If you have a quilt pattern in a magazine that you wanted to do but couldn’t do the math to make it bigger or smaller: bring it to class and I can help you understand how EQ8 can help you .
Students who want to create and design their own quilts: come with your sketches on grid paper so that we can use as examples in class. Each participant must bring: ● Laptop with Electric Quilt 8® installed and activated ● Power cord for laptop ● Mouse ** (The touch pad of your computer laptop works, but an external mouse makes drawing easier.) ● Mouse pad ● Pen and paper for taking notes will stay in place. This Stack and Whack class will cover some of the basics for selecting which pattern you want to make and which fabric will work best for that pattern. The Stack & Whack method involves taking rectangular pieces of fabric that have nearly identical motif prints to make the Stack then Whack (cutting) pieces from this Stack and arranging them to create a kaleidoscope effect.
