If you have never attempted to make clothes before or are feeling rusty from past experiences, the process may seem a bit overwhelming. By learning simple, individual sewing techniques, you can create a garment that flatters, fits you and that you will want to wear. Here is one in a series of basic garment techniques that will be offered in 2 hour workshops. These workshops will be hands-on and the instructor will demonstrate the techniques and assist in your practice.

There are several types of collar finishes available in sewing. The basic shirt pattern has a pointed collar with a collar stand. This type of collar gives a professional, classic look and will be the emphasis of this workshop.
